What color casual penny loafers should I buy for casual dress shoes I could wear with jeans and a nice shirt?
I have the cutest penny loafers that I got from my mom about 8 years ago, when I was 11. I hated them then, because I thought they looked like grandma shoes, lol. But they still fit me now, and I find them really cute, and I’d like to wear them, but am I going to look out of season or silly? Would they look to funny with skinny jeans?
They still look brand new, plus it’s vintage! Am I trying too hard, lol?
I was looking at some guys penny loafers today and it got me wondering… Why would any one need to carry one cent around in their shoes? Was it originally to show that you had money enough to adorn your shoes with it, or was it for practical purposes of some kind? (Like maybe a shoe shine was 2 cents..) Does anyone know? Just bored and curious.
